Performance Project

Prepare and present a complete performance with a plan for interpretation, reliability, recording, reflection, and revision.

目安時間:10 min6 / 8

Prepare a complete performance by connecting interpretation, reliability, recording, and focused revision.

A performance plan that only says avoid mistakes gives no guidance about sound, pacing, recovery, or communication. Your goal for this lesson is clear: Can you describe the musical message, demonstrate the hardest transition, and name the one revision made after recording?

01

Design the interpretation

Mark the main phrase destinations, dynamic range, articulation character, balance, and tempo relationships. Every expressive choice should support the structure.

Mark the opening, turning point, and arrival in the illustration for “Design the interpretation” (C3, C4, E4, G3, G4). Choose the tempo from the least secure transition, then play through the complete shape once before isolating any correction.

02

Simulate the real performance

Warm up briefly, start without testing the opening, continue through mistakes, and record one complete take. Use the recording to choose only the most important revision.

03

Performance Project at the keyboard

Now take the idea to the keyboard. Rehearse the opening, the hardest transition, and the ending as three separate performance starts before recording the whole piece.

  1. 1Play the opening from silence with the intended character.
  2. 2Start one measure before the hardest transition and continue one measure beyond it.
  3. 3Play the ending through the full release, then record the complete performance.
